Tamales are made of masa, which is a starchy corn-based type of dough. They are boiled or steamed in a leaf wrapper, which is taken off before it is consumed. Tamales can be filled with items such as meat, vegetables, fruits and chilies. We also do bulk sales, masa (for making tamales) and Mexican spices.
Tamales were eaten as early as 8000 to 5000 BC by the Mesoamericans. Civilizations such as the Mayans, Aztecs, Olmecans and Toltecans used tamales as portable foods. Their hunters, armies and travelers all enjoyed this classic food, as will you!
